Seconded European Standardization Expert for China CEN – CENELEC – ETSI – EU – EFTA

Klaus Ziegler holds an MBA "with honours" from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States and a Diploma in Civil and Rural Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Klaus Ziegler has been living in the Pacific Asia region for over ten years. Previously he worked as a standardization expert for SGS - a global inspection and certification company. In 2006, Mr Ziegler was appointed ‘Seconded European Standardization Expert to China’ by the European standardization organizations - CEN (European Committee for Standardization), CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) and ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). In this role, Klaus Ziegler is responsible for increasing visibility of European standardization in China, supporting European-Chinese cooperation in standardization as well as, helping European industry with standard related issues for market access to China. Mr. Ziegler speaks fluent German and English as well as conversational French, Italian and Danish.
