Dr Vanessa Yanhua Zhang specialises in economics analysis in competition policy. She has worked a wide range of competition matters involving allegations of monopolisation, foreclosure practices, vertical restraints, merger analysis and intellectual property. She has consulted on projects across various industries, such as payment card, banking, pharmaceutical, high tech, electricity, telecommunication, and consumer products. She is the author of several articles on China’s merger control and Anti-Monopoly Law (AML), economic analysis of competition policy, conspiracies, electricity market, and has published in several peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr Zhang is also a visiting professor at Renmin University of China, where she teaches regulation and antitrust economics to LLM students. Prior to joining LECG, Vanessa worked as a visiting researcher at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, and was a lecturer at the University of Toulouse in France.
