Mobile Money – Innovation and Standardization for the Unbanked

Mobile Money – Innovation and Standardization for the Unbanked

On Thursday October 28, 3 pm GMT (8 am Pacific, 11 am Eastern, 5 pm CET, 11 pm Beijing) Talkstandards.com is hosting an online open forum to discuss mobile payment and transfer services.

Structure:

Discussion material for the event will be posted here including keynote contributions, a featured interview and background material. This will lay the foundation and help focus the discussion’s direction.

The discussion itself will take place at this page: www.talkstandards.com/questions-for-mobile-money-event

Some key questions to be addressed include:

1. What possibilities does Mobile Money offer to unbanked people?
2. Are international interoperability standards required and, if so, how are they best developed?
3. With a great potential for innovations coming from developing countries, how will these innovations find their way into globally accepted standards?
4. What obstacles need to be overcome before we see wider deployments of Mobile Money services?

I welcome you to join the discussion!
